Harms Woods East
is a mixture of upland woods, floodplain and wet woods lying east of the Chicago River. Work at this part of the site began in 2012 with brush removal and seeding of native woodland seeds.The close-by North Branch bike trail offers views of more fine oak woodlands.
Directions: The meeting place for workdays at Harms Woods East is the Harms Woods South parking lot (Groves 1 & 2) on the west side of Harms Road. In the event that lot is flooded, please meet at the Harms Woods Central parking lot (Groves 3 & 4) on the west side of Harms Road.
