North Branch Seed Garden

November 3 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free

One of our most important tools in restoring healthy native ecosystems are the seeds of our native plants. The plants in our seed garden help increase the supply of the scarcest seeds as we continue restoring rich diverse natural communities.

Like all gardens, ours needs plenty of loving care. Those pesky weeds find a happy home here too and need to be removed. And all those precious seeds of native plants must be collected!

Please join us — we provide the tools and instructions for each workday. You bring your enthusiasm!

Directions: Enter the Forest Preserve Maintenance driveway from Harts Road,  just west of Touhy and Caldwell. Take an immediate right turn into a small gravel parking area. The address is 6649 W Harts Road in Niles, IL.
