Restoration work is just beginning on this beautifully wooded site filled with towering oaks and hickories, wonderful understory of muscle wood and its namesake spicebush, with a lush sedge filled floor. We’ll be clearing buckthorn and pole trees below the ancient oaks to promote recovery of the forest floor fauna.
