The Grove

Invasion of the Garlic Mustard!

We are looking for groups to join the Restoration Team at The Grove the week of May 23. Please let us know if your group of volunteers can join on one of the dates this week.

The Grove has 150 acres of ecologically diverse land preserved and maintained by the Glenview Park District. May is prime time for the early woodland wildflowers. Unfortunately, the weather this spring has also been perfect for the growth of invasive Garlic Mustard. This invasive plant spreads quickly, outcompeting understory plants including tree seedlings.
